Last September, Promsa launched the first concrete mixer truck with a rear steering axle in its entire fleet. It is also a unique model of the Mercedes Benz brand for Catalonia, Promsa being the first company to incorporate this type of truck into its machinery park. Thanks to the rotation of its rear axle, the vehicle gains room for maneuver, facilitating access to particularly complex places.
Prior to putting the new truck into circulation, specific training was given to the driver responsible for the new truck. The maintenance and logistics department will carry out a special monitoring of the vehicle to observe the operation and assess future acquisitions of machinery with these characteristics.
The truck is located in the Promsa concrete plant located in the Zona Franca with scope of action throughout the Barcelona area, an area in which trucks must circulate daily through places of difficult access such as the Born and Gòtic, Gràcia, etc.
On the other hand, Promsa has also acquired a new loader for the Montferrer-La Seu plant and a small truck for the transport of dry mortar. Step by step the Promsa fleet is modernized to access all the dumping points in a safer, more sustainable and efficient way.
